Sock Gallery’s Open Exhibition was designed to provide an opportunity for artists, whether local or national, professional or amateur, to exhibit their work.

The exhibition also offers the people of Charnwood and the surrounding areas a chance to see work by many different artists, all at the same time.
The Open Exhibition 2026 is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your work, with cash prizes for the winner of both our adult and young person categories, and a chance to win an exhibition at Sock Gallery through our People’s Choice Award.

Successful applicants will have their work on display from Saturday 1st August to Tuesday 1st September 2026.

Please download the Application below as it gives you all the information about the process and the event.

Online Entries
You can pay for your entries at the bottom of this page, where it says Book Now. This will take you to a new page to select how many entries you wish to purchase.

You can download the pdf application to edit and fill in below. Then email your completed application (if editing the pdf) with up to 3 photos for each piece submitted to sock@charnwood.gov.uk

Alternatively, if you cannot edit PDF’s, select the Apply Online Here link below. This will take you to an online form, where you can fill in the same information and upload images.

Online applications can be submitted before the submission dates but will be judged on the same day as the in-person submissions.

In Person Entries
You can pick up a paper copy of the application form to fill in from the gallery. This option is used for in person submissions.

Pieces can be submitted and paid for in person at Loughborough Town Hall on one of the specified submission dates, these are-

Friday 24th July 11am – 7pm and Saturday 25th July 10am – 5pm

Please note that all payments will need to be made by card on submission days.

We regret that we are unable to accept work in person before these dates. No work will be accepted in person or online after these dates.
