Saturday 7 December is National Panto Day and the cast of Loughborough Town Hall’s Christmas show Jack and the Beanstalk will be taking part in the hilarious national celebrations. This year marks Panto Day’s third anniversary. Last year’s Panto Day celebrations saw the official Panto Day hashstag ‘#panto’ reach over 1.5 million Twitter users.

Jack and the Beanstalk’s cast have signed up to provide Town Hall followers a unique glimpse into what goes on behind the scenes. Beginning late Friday night with live tweeting from the after show party following the venue’s own Panto Gala evening - #galagossiper - and Simple Simon will be taking over the Town Hall’s Twitter account on Saturday for loads of mayhem and fun. You can get involved by following their Twitter feed @LboroTownHall and the hastags ‘#magicbeansLTH’ and the national campaigns ‘#panto’.

2013 sees Panto Day add YouTube to its social media celebrations with a new campaign “We love #panto because…”, and Loughborough Town Hall’s Magic Bean’s Team have been getting creative by making a short film sharing their panto love with the world. Take a look.
