Studio Season transforms venue

This week the main theatre at Loughborough Town Hall will be transformed into an exciting studio space to host a series of entertaining small scale drama, comedy and music performances. The studio stage will be created by re-setting the main hall to offer an intimate performance space, putting the audience in the heart of each show.

The studio season begins on Monday 8 July with The Man Who Was Hamlet. Written and performed by George Dillon, this is a superbly crafted piece received several 5 star reviews at the Edinburgh Festival. On Wednesday 10 July, Fine Chisel Theatre present Firing Blanks, a fresh, funny and moving play about trying to have a baby, donor conception (and ducks) with an original live score. The award winning Piatti Quartet will be performing a charming classical programme on Friday 12 July with music by Mozart, Schubert and Schumann, and on Saturday 13 July, Just The Tonic’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival Preview Show, features two rising comic stars road testing their material before heading up north to the biggest comedy festival in the world.
