A solo exhibition by Joy Norman

Inspired by her love of fantasy and folklore local artist Joy Norman presents a collection of her intriguing handmade paper works and assemblages. Spiky sea creatures and dragonets, fascinating fossils and fragile vessels are featured amongst this captivatingly curious display. Reminiscent of fossilised archaeological finds or ancient treasures these objects evoke dreamlike memories of times gone by. Joy has developed her own mixed media style over the years using recycled papers, textiles, natural forms and a myriad of pre-loved ephemera which may then be combined with painting and stitch. Joy is a member of the Leicester Society of Artists, VISUALise Textile Group and Lutterworth Stitchers.
