A Solo Exhibition by Liz Black Dowding

Liz completed a degree in graphics in the 1980s and has since created artwork for many uses; textile design, book illustration, ceramic transfers, and most recently, the greetings industry. She also trained as an adult tutor and greatly enjoys teaching.

Liz recently experienced a renewed enjoyment of painting after seeing inspiring photos from the Lake District and Cumbria, her spiritual home. She felt a deep need to try and capture and share her love of the natural world, its power and quiet beauty.

Liz's artistic journey will never have a conclusion, as there is still so much she wants to visually explore. Her life and her art are a work in progress.
