Venue: Sock Gallery
Leicestershire Pastel Society was started by Norman Sims in 1999 and has held an annual exhibition every year since.
The pastel medium is one of the oldest mediums used by man. It consists simply of soft coloured powder mixed into a dough with water and formed into sticks. It requires a rough textured surface to grip the pigment and hold it in place.
Members use a range of dry media including pastel, oil pastel, pencil and charcoal. If you are interested in finding out more about us please visit our website.
