2nd October 2019 - 7.30pm

Venue: Loughborough Town Hall

Put the sparkle back into autumn with Grammy nominated and RPS 2018 winning orchestra Sinfonia Viva.

Featuring an array of musical colours including one of Mozart’s most famous pieces Symphony no 40. Cultivating a feeling of urgency and importance that both hugely confident and stirring, this sits alongside one of Wagner’s most famous piece’s Siegfried Idyll. A mesmerising symphonic poem that draws in and out like a deep breath it is an instantly recognisable theme has been heard many times in TV and film.

Faure’s Pavane, famously used in the coverage of the 1998 World Cup is one of his most famous and provocative works and features a muted palette of sounds, supporting a seductive harmonies that sway with melody.

This balances perfectly with Morricone’s classic Gabriel's Oboe, with its stirring and swirling oboe solo, it is a hugely powerful work. Nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Score and winner of the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score.

This piece spills over into Mozart’s Symphony No 29, which lights the fuse for the finale. A powerful and stunning end to a powerful evening of music.
