This Workshop is suitable for those who would like to tackle painting a portrait in oils using photographs as reference. Good drawing ability is desirable. All materials will be provided. Demonstrations and plenty of one-to-one tuition will be provided throughout the day.

Jane French was born in West Sussex and is now based in Leicester. She graduated from Newcastle University in 1988 with a Fine Art degree. She also completed an MA in Information Design in 1996 at De Montfort University, Leicester. Alongside her painting, she has worked both as an illustrator and, more recently, as a graphic designer. 

The workshop takes place in the Sock Gallery.
