A solo exhibition by Rod Shaw

In enjoying hill walking and his passion for the beauty of the natural world in all seasons, Rod turned to the landscape as a source of inspiration for painting.  When touring Britain and Ireland over many years, from the Western Isles in Scotland to the creeks and coves of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, as well as numerous places in between, he has always found endless possibilities for painting.

In “Light in the Landscape", Rod depicts local scenes as well as those from elsewhere and explores the way in which the landscape is transformed by the fleeting effects of light and weather, using a variety of formats and considered compositions.

Sock Gallery is an exciting exhibition space within the foyer area at Loughborough Town Hall. It is open Mondays-Saturdays from 9am-5pm and when the venue is open for events and shows.  Entry to SOCK Gallery is free of charge.
