The Tenant of Wildfell Hall - The youngest of the Bronte sisters, Anne shocked Victorian society with her extraordinary work, as her novel's heroine abandons her drunken husband and tries to live alone with her young son.

Our highly popular series of lunchtime lectures on the great works of literature are brought to you by Dr Jane Mackay.  Her obvious love for her subject, penetrating insight, wit, warmth and humanity continue to enthral.

The lecture takes place in the Council Chamber, with unreserved seating.
