4th December 2013 to 14th January 2014

Venue: Sock Gallery

A collaborative exhibition by Helen Hallows, Fiona Wilson and Sue Bulmer.

Sue Bulmer , Helen Hallows and Fiona Wilson all create work inspired by the everyday.  Be it Fiona's quirky characters that celebrate humour and joy, Sue's illustrations that remind us of the wonder of friendship and family or Helen Hallows' landscapes that make us stop and take a look at the world around us.  The artists share a love of working with mixed media using paper, print, pen and other materials to create innovative pieces, 'Prints Charming' is sure to bring some inspiration to you this pantomime season!

Sue Bulmer creates original ink illustrations, limited edition prints, greetings cards as well as a range of tea towels. Her subject matter is diverse, from flora and fauna and rolling landscapes to the more heartfelt moments of love, relationships and the connections we have with others in our lives.

Helen Hallows is a mixed media artist working in ink, collage and stitch.  She has become known for her landscape pieces that she exhibits in the East Midlands and Yorkshire.  Her current series of landscapes is inspired by the hills and dales of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.  The works engage the viewer in a narrative of place and Helen hopes that you will pause and ponder the every day beauty that surrounds us.

Fiona Wilson  is based in Huddersfield West Yorkshire, her studio is based within Radiant Works where she creates a range of individual objects and prints.  Using wood, thread and collograph prints on paper to bring her imaginative world to life - Kings, Queens, Knights and Horses, Ballerinas and Circus Men line her walls.  Each character is a limited run of either 5 or 10 and as everything is done by hand and due to the nature of the print process no two pieces are ever quite the same.
