Re-Invented Landscapes

Re-Invented Landscapes

Tell a friend:

23rd October to 30th November 2013

Venue: Sock Gallery

A solo exhibition by Catherine Headley.

Catherine's inspiration is colour and the landscape; particularly that of Cornwall, where she has stayed and painted many times in a cottage on a cliff near Lands End.

“The experience of a Cornish summer: sparkling seas; nature’s rock garden of granite, lichen and herbs; cairns and gorse; heather and fern: are embedded in my psyche; that’s where my paintings come from.”

Catherine is a member of Leicester Print Workshop where she produces collagraphs and dry point & carborundum prints.  The imagery for these prints is often standing stones, rocks and grasses, again inspired by Cornwall.

She is a member of Leicester Society of Artists and currently on the committee.
