Having a baby is complicated.  It’s even tougher when you need another man’s sperm. Richard is infertile.  Kate, a fierce-witted teenager he meets on a park bench, is an unlikely therapist.  The gentle strumming of a busker underscores two people’s intimate, important stories.

Firing Blanks is a fresh, funny and moving play about donor conception (and ducks) with an original live score. Fine Chisel Theatre is an exceptionally talented group of theatre-makers and outstanding musicians based in the South-East of England.

“ Every now and then… the festival unearths a little gem and this sparkles as brightly as anything I’ve seen.”  ***** Broadway Baby

“Pitch-perfect… witty but natural. “  ***** Evening Standard
