One of Gilbert and Sullivan's most famous operettas.
Frederic was apprenticed to the Pirates of Penzance because of his nanny's poor hearing, and on the last day of his indentures, prepares to become an honest man and set about bringing the crew before the law. He stumbles across a family of sisters and falls in love with Mabel, but things start to go wrong when he is told his birthday is February 29th,meaning he has another 63 years as an apprentice.
A fast moving night of hilarity ensues as Frederic, Mabel, her father, the Major General, the pirates and the police battle to make sense of the trickery.
