Central to Loughborough Town Hall is our 500 capacity* Main Hall.
As well as being a fully working theatre with lighting rig and PA, our retractable seating allows us to transform the room and accommodate a multitude of seating styles and capacities for all kinds of events. The maximum capacity very much depends on the room configuration.
The Main Hall is situated within a stone’s throw of the downstairs bar making it suitable for both shows and parties. Please view the 'Shows' page if you are interested in hiring the Main Hall for your forthcoming show.
With being situated in the heart of the East Midlands, the central location of Loughborough Town Hall itself means we are also ideally placed for public fairs which can be held in the Main Hall.
Main Hall floor size (with seats pushed back):- 15m x 17m
Main Hall stage size:- 7m x 7m
* Please note that 500 is the maximum capacity when the Main Hall is set in theatre style (tiered seating) without using the stage extension. When the retractable bleacher seating is pushed back, the floor area can hold up to 180 people in cabaret style (i.e. for wedding receptions/dinner dances).
