Sock Gallery Summer Open Exhibition 2019 winners announcement

Sock Gallery was delighted with the response to its eighth Summer Open Exhibition, hitting a record number of entries with 425 pieces submitted. Artwork from around the country was entered, offering a wonderful opportunity to see an array of talent, from local and national artists.

The independent judging panel had a hard task selecting work as all the submissions were to such a high standard, and 161 pieces were selected in the end to be exhibited. An overall Winner of the Adult category and the Young Persons category has been decided, Sarah Lockitt with her piece ‘Sir Kev’ won the Adult Category and Amelia Charlish with her piece ‘Shadows’ won the Young Persons category. The prizes were presented at the Private View on Saturday 3rd August.

The exhibition runs from the 3rd – 31st August and many of the works are for sale.

Sock Gallery is open Monday – Saturday from 9am – 5.00pm and when the venue is open for shows, with free entry.
