Sunday Funday a high-flying success!

Whoosh! Aladdin flew into town on Sunday 6th September for our magical Sunday Funday. Lots of families enjoyed an array of panto-themed treats and workshops including dragon-making workshops, lion dancing, backstage tours, and, of course, the opportunity to meet this year’s panto cast. Morgan Brind, our much-loved dame, loved meeting the families: “The Funday is a highlight in our panto calendar. With so many fun activities, it is a real treat and a great launch event!” A hugely popular activity was our magic carpet ride; fun for participants and spectators alike, the carpet ride did it’s best to throw off anyone who dared to master it!
While Loughborough has been enjoying the summer sunshine, a busy team of panto-land’s finest creatives have been working hard building this year’s set for Aladdin. The production team joined us for the launch, enjoying all the venue’s activities and meeting the attendees. Alan Bowles, from Little Wolf Entertainment, says he loves our audiences: “The audience reaction, when they see the show, really makes me happy, especially kids who perhaps have never been to the theatre before. Live theatre really is the best form of entertainment – and if we can encourage people to turn the TV off and go to their local theatre, then we have done something right!”
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for this year's Funday and helped make it such a success. We hope you all had a lovely day!
