Our Summer Season is almost here!

Packed with well-known comedians, classic drama and a very special studio programme, we have lots on offer this season at LTH!

In June, we have some fantastic comedy with well-known comedian Katherine Ryan and a sold out show from Ruby Wax. There is also a set from up and coming comedian Zoe Lyons in the more intimate surrounds of the Victoria Room. Zoe has won many fans from TV appearances on the usual comedy panel shows and now takes her show Mustard Cutter on the road following a smash-hit run in Edinburgh.

There’s music from Viva Santana and Let’s Twist Again, who rocked the Town Hall with all the hits of the 50s and 60s on their last visit, as well as An Evening of Murder from BBC presenter and renowned historian Dr Lucy Worsley.

Throughout July, the venue then transforms its main hall into an impressive studio space with a specially selected programme of new and diverse work. With most ticket prices at just £5 or £10, it’s a great opportunity to try something new or even make your first visit.

For the first time since the studio season’s conception, this year we have commissioned an exclusive, free launch event on the 2nd July, working in partnership with Michael Pinchbeck and Nottingham-based Arts organisation Hatch. Platform: The Studio Launch will showcase some of the brightest new talent in the region and also gives the audience a chance to feedback on the work and meet the performers following the show. Although the event is free, booking is required.

We will also be working with Loughborough University for the first time, giving students the chance to perform work from their studies on a professional stage. This vital collaboration celebrates local talent and development in the arts, and it would be great to have your support.

There are more shows on offer for comedy fans with a Work-In-Progress set from Paul Chowdhry and Rob Beckett, as well as the chance the relive your youth with Knightmare Live, a critically-acclaimed stage adaption of the cult TV classic.

The Studio programme continues with exhilarating dance piece Last Man Standing, a production of Shakespeare’s Titus Andronicus from Smooth Faced Gentlemen and classical music from the Mavron Quartet. Completing the season is delightful children’s show Hugless Douglas, where a lovable young brown bear searches for the perfect hug.

For more information on any of the shows, visit our 'Upcoming Events' section on the website.

We hope to welcome you to the venue soon!
