Internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Lester Simpson tells the story of his Great Uncle's war through songs, readings and images. It will be 90 years this October since Albert Scrimshaw was killed in the third battle of Ypres, better known as the battle of Passendale. There are local connections: Albert was born in 1885 in Nottinghamshire and married a girl from Derbyshire. He joined the Ox and Bucks regiment and marched off to War, never to return.
