Born in the UK. Since the age of 18 Sammy Rimington has played professionally and dedicated his life to playing New Orleans music on both the saxophone and clarinet. The New York Times describes him as: “widely regarded as one of the worlds leading exponents of classic style clarinet and saxophone...”

Sammy gives a sensitive interpretation of the music but has also acts as an ambassador of New Orleans Jazz and has supported his fellow musicians by arranging many tours to Europe, Sammy has helped to raise their profileand that of the music around the world.

Sammy's International Band is highly renowned, and is a firm favourite at Europe's most prestigious jazz festivals
