'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe' by C.S. Lewis
The children's classic is the second in Lewis's 6 'Chronicles of Narnia' and is concerned with the eternal battle between good and evil. Four children find the world of Narnia through the back of an uncle's wardrobe and embark of the most wonderful adventures. A clear Christian allegory, with the lion Aslan (Turkish for 'lion') as the sacrificed and resurrected Christ figure, this is also a cracking good story which your children will be telling your grandchildren!!!
