In Conversation with Colin Dexter
Wed 30th January, 2008 : 7.30pm
Tickets £15.00 / £13.00
The first Inspector Morse novel, Last Bus to Woodstock, was published in 1975, the product of a wet and windy family holiday in North Wales. 13 novels later, the last instalment, The Remorseful Day, was published in 1999. Morse’s creator, Colin Dexter, talks about the books, the wonderfully believable characters, and maybe why the city of the dreaming spires suffers such a high body count! He’ll also discuss the mammoth challenge of transforming a full-length novel in to a 90-minute screen drama. A highly acclaimed writer, Colin Dexter has been the recipient of many awards for his work, including the Order of The British Empire for services to literature.
