NATIONAL PREMIERE

Loughborough Town Hall is proud to present an evening of new music by some of the finest names in folk. Distil is an annual weekend project which brings together traditional musicians with mentors from other genres to explore exciting new musical directions. Brand new pieces by Jo Freya, Shona Mooney, Fiona Rutherford, Sonia Slany, Laurel Swift, Dave Townsend and Luke Daniels (whose submission uses sound samples of handbells recorded at Taylor’s Bell Foundry in Loughborough) will be played by the Distil House Band, featuring John Dipper, Rob Harbron, Emma Reid, Lucy Deakin, Miranda Rutter and Karen Tweed.

This is the English premiere of work produced through the Distil project, and it promises to be a truly special evening.
