Hot on the heels of Christchurch’s successful revival of ‘42nd Street, comes ‘Crazy For You’. Another classic musical, ‘Crazy For You’ is getting the CTC treatment and being brought bang up to date with stunning new sets and brand spaking new costumes. This is another glitz and glamour musical for everyone to enjoy.

In ‘Crazy For You’ a stage-struck New York playboy, Bobby Child, is sent to a small, poor town in Nevada to close down the local theatre due to debt issues. Soon Bobby falls in love with the theatre owner’s daughter, Polly. In order to save the building from closure, he dreams up the idea to put on a spectacular show to raise money to clear the debt. Add to all this two british tourists, a chorus of showgirls, and some very flat-footed local men - and you’ve got a delightful musical for all the family.

Featuring a fantastic array of Gershwin songs including - ‘I Can’t Be Bothered Now’, ‘Slap That Bass’, ‘I Got Rhythm’, ‘They Can’t Take That Away From Me’, ‘Someone To Watch Over Me’ and ‘But Not For Me’ - the entire score will have you singing along.
