As a young child exploring Thorpe Moors, Loughborough, Jane became interested in painting, drawing and natural history. Charnwood Forest, Beacon Hill, The Outwoods and other places inspire Jane's landscape paintings. On countryside walks, orange-tip butterflies, green woodpeckers, bluebells, oak trees and rushing streams have been a few of the beautiful sights Jane has seen. Illustrations of some of these experiences and places may be found in her recently published book, Wanderings on the Wild Side.
