Tracey Turnblad is a big girl with big hair and an even bigger dream: to dance her way onto national TV and into the heart of teen idol Link Larkin!

When she nails her audition, and becomes an overnight star, Tracey must use her new found fame to dethrone the reigning teen queen, win her man , and integrate a TV network, all without deflating her hair do!
