CTC are proud to bring Jonathan Larson’s legendary, multi-award-winning and ground-breaking rock musical RENT to Loughborough Town Hall. 

This exhilarating landmark musical tells the thrilling story of a group of impoverished young artists struggling to survive in New York City's East Village in the thriving days of Bohemian excess. Facing their problems head on, they make personal self-discoveries and find what matters most in life. The poignancy of the story was heightened when Jonathan Larson died of an aortic dissection on 25 January 1996, the night before the show’s first off-Broadway performance at New York Theatre Workshop.

Inspired by Puccini’s classic opera La Bohème, RENT features unforgettable music and lyrics by Jonathan Larson including the much-loved songs Seasons of Love, Take Me or Leave Me, One Song Glory, Without You, Out Tonight, I’ll Cover You, and La Vie Bohème. Winner of four Tony® Awards, six Drama Desk Awards and the hugely prestigious Pulitzer Prize for Drama, RENT ran on Broadway for an astonishing 12 years.
