A solo exhibition by Celia Brookes.

Celia has loved drawing and painting since she was a young child. She loves the exciting way in which watercolour paint reacts and moves on the paper, particularly when using the wet-in-wet technique. She finds that controlling a drop of paint and encouraging it in the direction that you want it to go is so thrilling.Celia loves the beauty and unpredictability of watercolours, some of which have won her prestigious awards at: Patchings Open Art Competition 2013, 2015 & 2016, Leisure Painter Highly commended Award 2016, The SAA “Best Amateur for Still Life” 2016 & The Best in Show at Ashby de la Zouch Art Festival 2017. In this exhibition, Celia is showing a variety of her figurative work, which she hopes you will enjoy.
