Liz Emery uses the wet felting method to create pictures that have the feel of a painting but which retain the textural qualities of a textile piece. She manipulates and explores a range of fibres in a way that allows fine detail to merge with the more unpredictable outcome this felting method produces.
Working from her own photographic images Liz explores themes that are personal to her and which evoke a vivid impression of reality.
Since graduating in Textile design from Leeds University Liz has taught fine art in London and Nottingham and is now working full time on her own art work.
