Following a recent London revival, Christchurch Theatre Club are proud to bring you the Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Evita.

This musical is about the first lady of Argentina and follows the story of Eva Peron from early life, her rise to power and her eventual death.

Eva Peron talks her way through Buenos Aires and then proceeds to sleep her way up the ladder, becoming a celebrated actress. When her lover, Colonel Juan Perón, becomes elected president she reaches the height of her fame and at the end of her life questions whether or not she took the right path.

Featuring outstanding choreography, and a musical score that features the well known songs ‘On This Night of a Thousand Stars’, ‘Another Suitcase in Another Hall’, and of course the memorable hit-song ‘Don’t Cry For Me Argentina’, this is one musical you won’t want to miss...

 Suitable age: 10+
