Mrs Dalloway by Virginia Woolf

This is Woolf's fourth novel and the book which firmly established her as a writer of real stature.

Coming out in 1925, it is partly a study of her mother, already long dead, but Woolf's genius lies in her use of memory to float through a day in the life of a seemingly useless society woman in Westminster.
