10th September to 30th September 2015
Venue: Sock Gallery
A solo exhibition by Rosemary Mafrici
Capturing those fleeting moments in time is what inspires Rosemary’s work. The way the light filters through trees, across faces or casts shadows on water. She sees a richness of colour within natural forms which is quite dazzling, but retains an almost photorealistic effect within her work.
Rosemary uses a variety of art materials, which include oils, watercolours and chalk pastels. Her Italian husband’s roots in Calabria, where she can be found painting in the streets, influence many of her paintings, whilst other pieces have a distinctively English feel.
