William Shakespeare’s murderous tale of greed, witchcraft and madness. Macbeth and Banquo stumble on three witches who foretell of great things for Macbeth. On telling his wife they realise that King Duncan is the only person in his way. Macbeth murders him when Duncan pays a visit to their castle, setting off a chain of events that leads to war amongst the clans; his wife’s madness and death; to his eventual downfall.

Presented by The Blue Orange Theatre a Birmingham based producing company. Macbeth will be performed with a cast of four actors playing multiple roles throughout the play, focusing on the witches influence over Macbeth. The play will bring clarity and immediacy to the text in a dynamic re-telling of the classic play.

Since 2011 The Blue Orange Theatre have produced and performed 22 shows at our venue in Birmingham ranging from John Godber’s Teechers, William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, and Noel Coward’s Blithe Spirit, plus fantastic adaptations of classic literature such as The Arabian Nights, A Christmas Carol and Lady Chatterley’s Lover.

The company's first national tour of the critically acclaimed Misery by Stephen King received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback:

“Thrilling, moving and heartbreaking all at the same time, it seems wrong to say it, but Misery was a complete joy to watch.” ScareTour Sept 2011

“Both Griffiths and Haywood are 100% believable in their characters and the pair of them take the whole audience on an incredible journey to some very dark and twisted places.”   Lloyd Williams, BBC Radio WM
