Literature at Lunchtime: A Christmas Carol by Dickens

Tell a friend:

17th December 2013 - 12 noon

Venue: Loughborough Town Hall

Especially for the approaching festive season, we are offering a new perspective on Dickens' most famous Christmas book. This short story changed society's view of the poor and began a renewed tradition of Christmas customs that would otherwise have been lost and deals with issues which are hugely topical today.

Our highly popular series of lunchtime lectures on the great works of literature are brought to you by Dr Jane Mackay.  Her obvious love for her subject, penetrating insight, wit, warmth and humanity continue to enthral.

The lecture takes place in the welcoming the Council Chamber, with unreserved seating.

Note: No booking fee for cash transactions only
