The great Czech writer’s most famous short story, originally published as 'The Transformation'. This is a hauntingly topical parable of human reaction to suffering.

Our highly popular series of lunchtime lectures on the great works of literature are brought to you by Dr Jane Mackay.  Her obvious love for her subject, penetrating insight, wit, warmth and humanity continue to enthral.

The lecture takes place in the Council Chamber, with unreserved seating.
