REVIEW OF TOUGH LOVVIE - 7 June 2013 :    "Crowd pleasing comedy .... no shortage of laughs, whether discussing the north/south divide, infuriatingly inane Facebook updates or his food fixation."  Evening Standard ****

Hal Cruttenden is one of the top comedians working in the UK today, as well as being a highly accomplished writer and actor.

Hal’s comedy is simultaneously warm and catty, straight and camp, it’s a lovely mix that has made him a regular guest on John Bishops’s Only Joking (Sky1) and led to not one, but two sitcoms being produced this year.

Recent television appearances include ‘Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow’ (BBC1), ‘The Royal Variety Performance’ (ITV),‘Comedy Rocks’ (ITV) and ‘The Rob Brydon Show’ (BBC2) for which he also worked as a writer;'Let's Dance for Comic Relief' (BBC1), 'John Bishop's Only Joking' (Sky 1), ‘Comedy Rocks’ (ITV),  ‘Comedy Central at the Comedy Store’ (Comedy Central) and he's just appeared in cinemas nationwide in 'The Comedy Store: Raw and Uncut'.

  The Telegraph

Last year he was nominated for ‘Best Club Act’ at the prestigious Chortle Awards, his stand up show ‘Tough Luvvie’ was a complete sell-out at the Edinburgh Festival and transferred to the Soho Theatre London for a short run, and he appeared at his second comedy Gala at the  Montreal Just For Laughs Festival (hosted by Howie Mandel) for CBC.

He has toured the UK with his shows ‘The Tiny Rage Tour 2011’ and ‘Lively’. 2011 also saw him tour to Canada with Just For Laughs and India with the Comedy Store. He is a regular at all the top UK comedy clubs and has supported Stephen Merchant, Rob Brydon, Sean Lock, Ardal O’Hanlon and Omid Djalili on their nationwide tours.

"There’s an authenticity to the material, and he delivers it with affability, passion and rhythm, adroitly bouncing ideas around the audience as a set-up to each routine in a way that’s as charming as he is witty." Chortle
