The Hired Man is a bracing, gritty, earthy, and exhilarating musical adaptation of Melvyn Bragg’s stirring novel of the same name.

It brings alive a cavalcade of British history which swept us into a new century bringing with it a war to end all wars. This earnest story of love, toil, and loss is beautifully brought to life by a passionate, moving, and thoughtful musical score penned by the brilliant Howard Goodall.
