An exciting interactive experience for the budding storyteller. Each session begins with an entertaining introduction to the world of story writing by multi-award winning author Anne Fine, Children’s laureate 2001-3.
Anne is an entertaining speaker who will be sharing her experiences having written over 50 books for children of all ages, including Flour Babies and Madame Doubtfire, as well as 7 acclaimed novels for adults. Anne has won the Guardian Children’s Fiction Prize, the Carnegie Medal, and the Whitbread Children’s Book of the Year Award.
A creative writing workshop follows, facilitated by Charnwood Arts, with professional storyteller Hema, who makes telling tall tales fun! No previous experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn new skills to share with friends and family.
Presented in the Victoria Room. Unreserved seating. Limited capacity, early booking advised.
