Our highly popular series of lunchtime lectures on great works of literature are brought to you by Dr Jane Mackay.  A graduate of three universities, Jane’s obvious love for her subject, penetrating insight, wit, warmth and humanity continue to enthral.

Somerset Maugham's 'The Moon and Sixpence'.

This novel became hugely famous both because of its loose links to the life and work of Paul Gauguin, but also the lush Tahitian setting which appealed to a public tired of war and austerity. A fascinating study about the nature of obsession.

Please note: Literature at Lunchtime only, there is no Booking Fee for Cash Transactions
