In the sleepy town of Gilbert, Texas, there lies Miss Mona's 150 year old business, The Chicken Ranch. But the establishment which serves people from all levels of the community, isn't selling poultry, it is quite simply, a brothel, but for how long? When television journalist Melvin P.Thorpe sets about closing the Chicken Ranch down, he has to cope with Miss Mona's long time "ally", Sherriff Ed Earl Dodds attempts to protect her.
