Ballet Classic for the whole family!

"The Nutcracker" has been one of the most popular and famous ballets of the international repertoire since its premiere in 1892. For many generations Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker has been an integral part of the pre-Christmas season.

The story is based on "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King" written by E.T.A. Hoffmann. It tells the story of Clara, a whimsical little girl, whose godfather Drosselmeier gives her a nutcracker as a present on Christmas Eve.  Magically the Nutcracker turns into a prince who invites her to a journey into the Sugar Plum Fairy's Realm of Sweets. She celebrates a sumptuous party together with her godfather and the nutcracker prince...

The State Ballet Academy of Minsk started in 1928. The academy gathered experience and developed methods that can keep up with the achievements of the professional ballet schools worldwide. The teaching of the State Ballet Academy corresponds to the level of the Moscow Ballet Academy and A.J. Vaganova Academy of Saint Petersburg.
